Record interest in hosting UEFA Women’s EURO

Five potential bids to host the European Women's Championship in July 2025

UEFA has today announced that it has received five declarations of interest representing eight member associations to host the UEFA European Women's Championship Final Tournament in 2025.

A joint declaration of interest was received from the member associations of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The member associations of France, Poland, Switzerland and Ukraine also declared their interest in bidding.

The bidding procedure for the selection of the venues to host the final tournament was launched in July 2021. The deadline for the submission of the bid dossiers is in October 2022, and the UEFA Executive Committee will select the successful host association(s) in December 2022.

UEFA has responded to the ever-increasing surge in popularity of women’s football by raising the standards for hosting the event in 2025. As part of a flexible bidding process, bidders are recommended to present eight category 4 stadiums, with a variety of capacities ranging from >15,000 to >30,000.
