Six members of Germany's victorious selection have been named in the UEFA technical team's all-star squad for UEFA Women's EURO 2013, including player of the tournament Nadine Angerer.

Angerer – now a five-time European champion – capped an already impressive campaign in which she had conceded just one goal with penalty saves from Trine Rønning and Solveig Gulbrandsen as Silvia Neid's side defeated Norway 1-0 in Sunday's Solna final. It was Germany's sixth successive continental title (and eighth overall).

Joining the 34-year-old in the 23-player squad are team-mates Saskia Bartusiak, Annike Krahn, Lena Goessling, Dzsenifer Marozsán and Célia Okoyino da Mbabi, whose two goals in Sweden took her to 19 for the competition (including qualifying) – eclipsing the 18-year record of her compatriot Patricia Brocker (18) for a single UEFA European Women's Championship.

Regarding Angerer's nomination as player of the tournament, the UEFA technical team said: "She maintained a very high level in every game, made no mistakes and gave no sign of weakness in any department. She was good at dealing with set plays and organising her defence, and she handled high balls very efficiently. Maybe, more importantly, she inspired a mood of confidence in the whole of Germany's defensive play."

Runners-up Norway provide four players: goalkeeper Ingrid Hjelmseth, defenders Marit Fiane Christensen and Maren Mjelde, and midfielder Gulbrandsen. Hosts Sweden, beaten by Germany in the semi-finals, are represented by Nilla Fischer, Josefine Öqvist, Caroline Seger and Lotta Schelin, the five-goal recipient of the adidas Golden Boot.

The only nation to win all three of their group games, France contribute five players, while goalkeeper Stina Petersen and Katrine Søndergaard Pedersen are rewarded for their starring roles in helping Denmark to the last four. Italy's Melania Gabbiadini and Spain captain Verónica Boquete, whose sides were eliminated in the quarter-finals, complete the list.

The members of the technical team in Sweden were Wales coach Jarmo Matikainen, former Belgium coach Anne Noë, Scotland coach Anna Signeul and former Switzerland coach Béatrice von Siebenthal.
